Bangkok Shutdown

It’s been about a year since I found myself in the middle of the Bangkok Shutdown which called for Prime Minister Yingluck to step down. Those weeks were characterized by seemingly endless marches, mass crowds who took over key parts of the city, vendors and tents galore and some sporadic incidences of violence and tense moments as well as some really great company and new friends. I’d thought I’d share (a belated) series of those street scenes on my site here:  Michelle Siu, Bangkok Shutdown, Thailand, Bangkok, protest
